Bio
I began my equestrian journey in the world of show jumping with my first horse, who would later become my most important teacher. Through the challenges we faced together, I was confronted early on with behavioral issues and signs of discomfort that could not be fully addressed through traditional training methods. Those experiences pushed me to question, observe, and seek deeper understanding, marking the beginning of a long-term commitment to study and professional development.
Over the years, I have worked with and rehabilitated several horses presenting behavioral challenges, each of which contributed to shaping my approach. Among them is Mandala, a horse affected by saddle-related post-traumatic stress disorder, with whom I completed my Equitation Science International Diploma. Working with Mandala profoundly influenced my understanding of learning theory, welfare, and ethical training, and remains a cornerstone of my professional growth.
In 2023, I joined Addestramento Etologico, the largest centre in Italy where science and research are systematically applied to equine behaviour and training, under the guidance of Marco Pagliai. There, I undertook a structured education grounded in scientific principles, ethology, systematic observation, and continuous professional development.
In September 2024, I began my formal studies with Equitation Science International, a program that provided rigorous theoretical and practical frameworks for understanding equine behavior, learning processes, and welfare-centred training methodologies.
In March 2025, through Addestramento Etologico, I collaborated with Dr. Andrew McLean at the Horse XP conference, where I served as speaker coordinator and interpreter for international presenters. This experience further strengthened my commitment to bridging scientific research and practical application within the equestrian field.
In parallel, I qualified as a Natural Equine Management Consultant, driven by the belief that without appropriate management, any training approach is limited in both effectiveness and ethics.
Today, I apply Equitation Science principles in my daily professional practice, supporting and rehabilitating horses with behavioral difficulties across Italy. I am available for lessons throughout the country, for tailored training and rehabilitation programs addressing behavioral issues or supporting the transition to a new, evidence-based approach, as well as for consultations focused on natural equine management. My work is centered on promoting responsible management, evidence-based training, and long-term welfare, while continuing to evolve through research, collaboration, and hands-on experience.
