With over 20 years of horse ownership and experience in the equine industry, Arylee has always had a love of horses. She began riding at a young age and initially focused on barrel racing, spending several years taking lessons in western disciplines. As a teenager, this extended into English disciplines, where she continued lessons and training in showjumping and dressage.

She is the founder of Obsidian Equestrian and has completed a number of equine courses across a variety of fields, including the ESI Diploma of Equitation Science.

Arylee is passionate about horse welfare and has a strong interest in equine behaviour, nutrition, biomechanics, and learning theory. She is actively involved in rescue and rehabilitation and is currently developing a not-for-profit horse rescue, with Obsidian Equestrian established to help support this lifelong goal through offering behavioural support, retraining pathways, and owner education.

Her approach prioritises calm, systematic training methods that support both horse welfare and practical outcomes, with an emphasis on species-appropriate management practices, clear communication, predictability, and helping owners better understand equine behaviour.
