Bio
Jeanne is an equestrian coach, trainer and qualified equine massage therapist based near the Gold Coast in South East Queensland.
Coming from a non-horsey family, Jeanne discovered horses at the age of nine and quickly developed what became a lifelong passion. She grew up riding in France, gaining experience across dressage, hunter, eventing and showjumping, competing up to 1.15m. Her equestrian experience has also taken her overseas, working in Belgium and the United States as a groom, home rider and working student before eventually settling in Australia.
After teaching and later managing a small riding school for several years, Jeanne launched her own business, Equi’Sport Ease, combining equine bodywork with coaching and training. Today, she works with riders of all levels across dressage and showjumping and has several horses in regular training, including off-the-track Thoroughbreds that she competes in Dressage.
Jeanne has a particular interest in groundwork, equine biomechanics, retraining and developing confidence and understanding in both horse and rider. Groundwork forms an important part of her approach, and she strongly believes that good ridden training begins with clear, consistent and ethical handling on the ground.
Equine welfare is at the centre of Jeanne’s philosophy. Naturally curious and never satisfied with simply doing something because “that’s how it’s always been done,” she is constantly asking questions, seeking evidence and looking for a better understanding of why training works. She is passionate about helping equestrian sport continue to evolve in a direction that prioritises the physical and emotional wellbeing of the horse.
A self-confessed lifelong horse nerd, Jeanne is always looking for opportunities to further her education and refine the way she trains, coaches and cares for horses.
