After a veterinary career of over twenty years, Lisa founded Equimech, a business located near Royal Hillsborough, Co. Down, specialising in a full range of equestrian performance coaching. She started horse riding at the age of seven and has competed at four-star level eventing. Lisa has developed a wealth of knowledge and expertise and is devoted to helping horses and riders become better at what they do.

In 2018 Lisa became the first certified Advanced Equipilates Biomechanics Trainer in Ireland and it was during this time that Lisa was first introduced to Equitation Science. In 2020, Lisa became a certified Biomechanics Coach and in 2021, she obtained further accreditation by becoming a Testt® Certified Coach. To expand her skillset further, Lisa has obtained a qualification in Gym Instructing & Personal Training plus a rider specific and neuromechanics trainer accreditation.

Lisa offers all of these services at Equimech and also at other facilities nationally. In addition, Lisa provides off horse biomechanics assessments and training online, including Equimech Video, her Video On Demand streaming service.

Today, Lisa still enjoys competing at local events and the camaraderie with the equestrian fraternity.
