Bio

Sally is a BHSAI Qualified Coach who holds the ESI Certificate and Associate Diploma.  She is an experienced, sympathetic rider and coach who is passionate about ethical horse training and has been involved with horses all her life, competing in Dressage, Showjumping, Eventing and Team chasing.

In 2007 / 2008 Sally came out to the AEBC as a Working Student to learn more about this unique training system, which completely changed the way she trained horses forever.  Sally has continued to keep up to date with the evolving discipline of Equitation Science and organizes clinics for Manuela Mclean in Yorkshire every year in the UK.

Sally’s horse, Snowy, is a great example of how effective the training system is.  Snowy was given to Sally as he was going to be put to sleep due to dangerous bolting and bronking behaviours.  Sally successfully retrained Snowy using the AEBC’s systematic approach and they are now out competing and getting placed in Eventing and Dressage.

Sally has her own yard in West Yorkshire, offering a training and rehabilitation service which embraces Equine Learning Theory. She is building a particularly good reputation for starting young horses and producing horses that are calm, safe and responsive to ride and handle.  She also offers tuition on a freelance basis around the UK to all ages and abilities of horse and rider to improve Performance, Safety and Welfare.  Visit her Website or Facebook Page (Sally Mitchell Equestrian) for more info.
