Sarah was first introduced to equitation science at one of Andrew’s clinics back in 2007. Since then she has visited the AEBC three times, spending a total of 6 months as a working student. Sarah’s passion for ethical horse training inspired her to enrol in the Equitation Science International Certificate and Associate Diploma courses which she was awarded in 2012. Sarah is a certified Riding Coach with 7 years’ experience as manager and co-owner of a busy riding school and livery yard. Equine Body Work is another passion for Sarah. She is a certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist and has completed courses in myofascial release technique and photonic red light therapy. Her approach to coaching and training is a holistic one, taking factors such as rider posture, saddle fit, hoof balance and conformation into consideration. Based in Christchurch, Sarah offers tuition for novice and competitive riders of all ages. Many of Sarah’s students are pony club members, adult amateurs, and ‘first time’ horse owners seeking support and guidance. Sarah also takes horses for schooling, and being small in stature, specialises in behaviourmodification and foundation training of ponies.
